HOW TO USE THIS SITE

As a viewer (without creating an account):

  • At the top right, enter the SM # found on the equipment to view documents specific to that piece of equipment, or enter another search term such as the Supplier name or type of equipment.
OR
  • In the menu to the left, click Documents to view all documents available to the general public, categorized by Supplier.

As a viewer (creating an account first):

1. Create an account to become a Registered User.

2. Contact the Supplier of the equipment or a Safemachine.ca administrator to request that they assign permissions for you to view the secure documents. Note: Safemachine.ca may not be able to release certain documents unless prior permission is given by the Supplier to do so.

As a client of Safemachine.ca (Supplier):

Note: these are steps to take after you have identified the equipment that you would like to have exemption, gone through the initial review process with HITE Engineering and set up an account for those particular models of equipment.

1. Create an account to become a Registered User.

2. Contact a Safemachine.ca administrator to request that your security level be elevated to Author. Note: if you are not the original contact person who set up the account you should provide written permission from that person or a principal of your company. As a Author, you may log in to upload files and control which documents your clients (Registered Users) can view.

3. Contact a Safemachine.ca administrator when you are ready to sell the next item of the same model. Provide documentation to support the exemption.

4. Safemachine.ca will assign a serialized exemption tag (SM #) and upload exemption documents.

5. Upload documents that are required to complete the exemption. NOTE: The documents you uploaded will not appear immediately because they must be approved by Safemachine.ca administrator (contact them to request).

6. (If desired) upload private documents and assign viewing permission to your Group.
